Dhoom is a Bollywood action-thriller movie released in 2004. Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, the film stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, and Uday Chopra in the lead roles. The movie revolves around a high-speed bike robbery gang that terrorizes the city, and the efforts of a dedicated cop to catch them. Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of Jai Dixit, a no-nonsense police officer who leads a team of officers tasked with investigating a string of daring robberies. The robbers are a band of bikers who steal from high-end stores and flee on their powerful bikes, leaving the police clueless about their whereabouts. Jai Dixit's partner and confidant in the investigation is his goofy sidekick Ali, played by Uday Chopra, who provides much of the comic relief in the film.
